Elusive Realities: Guest author, Patty L. Fletcher shares her story

I had an email from author, Patty L Fletcher in which she wrote, “Today I sat down and put together some edited portions from my journal. They have to do with my experiences with spirit and magik. I’d like to ask you to consider this for your elusive reality post… These experiences that I relate here are true. I give you my word.”

HALLOWEEN-SAMHAIN

This morning I did some Thor’s Day-Samhain magik.

Thor’s Day as you know is a day for attracting more of what you have. It is one of my most favorite days of the week.

I’ve been trying with all my might to bring about more financial security into my life. Bring about more clients to my business etc.

This morning I was having a conversation with mom. She died in 2001 but we communicate. I talk out loud to her a lot. I have felt her spirit more of late than in a while. I suppose it’s due to the time of year.

Anyhow, as I was getting ready to make another cup of coffee I heard her say clear as day, “Do an always coffee spell.” I stopped in my tracks. Then I thought about it.

I was getting ready to open a new can of coffee. The can I was using, which was larger than the can I was readying to open was almost empty, but it was easier to scoop from. So, I opened the new can and dumped it into the old, envisioning that can of coffee as always full. Then, I took the new can and cut a small slot in the lid. I held that can in my hands and envisioned it full of money.

Taking it into my bedroom, dropping one coin in at a time I decreed, “I draw prosperity to me.”

Once I’d picked up all the loose change in there I went into the Livingroom and got out my purse. Inside it I found more loose coins and again I dropped them one at a time and decreed, “I draw prosperity to me.”

When I was done with that I shook the can and decreed, “Always money for food, shelter, clothing, coffee, and wine there will be.”

Then I had a thought. I decided that I’d put a grocery receipt into the can, you know. Like a focus for more of what I already have. As I dug round in there for a receipt I found 4 1 dollar bills. I dropped them in and decreed, God Thor, bring prosperity to my door times 4. Then finding the receipt I stuck it in and decreed, “There will be food forever more.”

I gave it a good rattle and sat it onto my altar. Then picking up my wand I tapped the can like a drum and with each tap I decreed, “I draw Prosperity unto me. Forever more shall it be. As it is cast, so shall it be delivered. As it is delivered so shall it be done. So mote it be. Blessid be.”

I haven’t done anything like that before, and I didn’t plan it. It just came to me out of the blue. I think my mom gave it to me as a Halloween treat.

MOON PHASE WAXING CRESCENT.

ALL SAINTS DAY.

Here we are in the month of November. Under the sign of Scorpio. I’m a Scorpio. I am just like the descriptions of Scorpio proclaim. Hardworking, loving, caring and kind. I keep my secrets and I don’t always trust easily. I can be impulsive, and sometimes, well, most times that gets me in trouble.

It’s just 8 days till my birthday not counting today. I’ll be 52 years old on the 9TH at 10:30 A.M. I hope to have the money to have a great bottle of wine, a nice steak to cook, and a great book to read. Maybe some kind of chocolate. I’ll not ask for more than that. I can’t think of much else I’d want. Oh, I suppose I can think of lots of things I want but that is a nice birthday wish.

I woke up at a little after 1 and made myself go back to sleep. Dozed fitfully until 2:30 and danced with the pillows until just after 3. Finally got up and started my day.

After washing face, brushing teeth and hair, and washing up a bit I put on leggings and a tie-dyed sweatshirt, and made a cup of coffee. I forgot to thaw out a carton of milk, so I’m drinking it black. I prefer creamer but I’m out. I love coffee any way that I can get it and this morning it’s good, hot, and strong.

The weather was nasty yesterday. It rained and the wind was furiously strong. Then midafternoon the temps started dropping and by sundown it was starting to feel downright chili. When I woke up this morning it was 36 degrees. BURR. But, I’m comfy in my big sweatshirt, and leggings, and my fleece lined socks are cozy warm too.

Honestly though I didn’t sleep all that long, I feel great. I love the quiet solitude of early morning, and the day promises to be a good one.

I’m to catch a ride with my friend Dave this morning to Food City. After I’m done I’ll take the bus home. There are a couple things I need, and I also have to get cash to pay the maintenance man with. I’m having someone come to rehang the shower curtain rod and hopefully fix that showerhead. Oddly enough his name is Dave too.

After he’s gone I’m going to spend some more time reading a client’s latest book and just hangout a while. Probably write too. I have to get my Miss Mazie story finished and I need to start on the 3RD part of my manuscript.

Tomorrow I’m going to start the arduous task of putting together the Tell-It-To-The-World Marketing (Author, Blogger, Business Assist) Holiday Edition: Books and Those Who Make Them Happen catalog which I hope to have ready to release by Cyber Monday just after Thanksgiving. Considering I probably won’t go anywhere for Thanksgiving, I may just hold up and do the final touches that day. Anyone reading want to be in the catalog? Author, Blogger, or Business Owner we’ve got room for you. Drop me an email to learn more. (patty.volunteer1@gmail.com)

Well, coffee cup is almost empty, and email awaits. I’m getting a good jump on the day today and I like it.

NOVEMBER 2, 2019.

DAY OF THE DEAD.

MOON PHASE WAXING CRESCENT.

I woke again at just after 3 this morning and though I considered going back to sleep I knew it would be an act in futility so rather than dance round with the pillows and be miserable I got up and began the day.

I’d had a lovely shower last evening during which I did a water spell for cleansing and prosperity. So was ready for clean clothes after doing my morning routine of washing face and brushing teeth and hair.

It is really true what they say about forming good habits. Once you begin them and get used to doing them every day, there’s no not doing them. When I accidentally forget a step, like the other day when I got distracted by something and forgot to brush my teeth, I notice it immediately, and I have to go back and complete the process before I can be comfortable doing anything else.

I have a bit of OCD but it’s not the kind that turns people into neat freaks or makes them need to go check the coffeepot a half dozen times before leaving the house. It’s the kind that requires me to keep routine.

When I do dishes, in the sink with dish soap and all, I have to rinse and arrange them a certain way before I run the dishwater. When I take a bath, there are certain things that must happen before I can get into the tub. When I get ready to leave the house, I have a very specific way of making sure I’ve all I need for my trip out. If I don’t keep these routines it not only causes trouble for me with the rest of whatever I’m doing but I feel uncomfortable.

It’s just like this journaling every morning. Now that I’ve started it, I cannot do anything else until I have written my entry for the day.

Even reading email requires a certain amount of routine. When I get onto Facebook there’s routine there too. I always read my notifications before I do anything else. Then newsfeed, and then create my post. After that, I check messenger.

Weird I suppose but it’s how I work. Thing is, since I started doing things this way, recognizing my need for routine, other problems I was having seem to have eased. I don’t feel as anxious. I don’t feel lost, and my functionality has gone up.

In short, recognizing more of myself and my needs has helped me with my mental illness. My bipolar symptoms are less, my anxiety has dropped, and I haven’t had an attack of PTSD in a while.

Now, if I could do something about the strange dreams I have that would be nice. But, I don’t think the dreams I have are always just dreams. Sometimes I’m very sure that what I’m dreaming is a glimpse into someone else’s thoughts.

I have been asking for divination ability from Mercury, Mars, Dianna, and the Spirit of Air, and I believe I’m being given more of that. It is at times of late terrifying.

The month has begun on an upbeat note though. I got my rent and yard bill paid and got my grocery shopping done yesterday. I still need to pay my power and water bill but those will get taken care of today and on Monday. My friend Melony uses the automated system and my info and pays my water bill when she’s at work so that won’t happen until Monday, but I can take care of the power bill over the phone.

The door to door van service coupon fairy has struck again. KATS called me yesterday to say that someone came in and bought me 12 booklets of coupons. This is the third or fourth time this has been done.

The spiritual activity in and around the house has picked up. I guess it’s because of Samhain and the vale being thin that it starts but it is always more active in winter than summer. I hear sounds of whispering voices sometimes, catch a snatch of conversation floating through the air, and the house makes little noises that I know are spirit fed. (No I’m not delusional)

It no longer scares me. Not now that I understand things better. The spirits in the other house I lived in weren’t always good. Neither are the ones who come and go from this one all good.

I believe there is a portal near the frig, because during the full and new moon phases the thing makes a distinct howling noise. It doesn’t do it any other time. The noise always happens on a Thor’s Day and most times some type of prosperity befalls me after I’ve heard it.

Thing is sometimes I catch just a bit of maliciousness in the sound it makes. Something that is hiding just beneath the surface. Something that leads me to believe that if I’m not careful I might find myself beholden to a not so good force. One that may come and ask for a favor from me someday.

I always cast for protection when doing any magik.

I can’t discount my magik anymore either. No longer can I call what’s happening in my life coincidence. The receipt of the gift of coupon booklets came hard on the heels of my doing that prosperity spell on Thor’s Day. I also got another care package of canned goods and other things from my friends and they’ve written to say they’re sending a special box for Thanksgiving too. I’ll also be getting a Thanksgiving box from the church I get a food box from each month, so I’ll not be hungry that’s for sure.

I found wine on sale yesterday $9.99 a bottle for huge bottles and I bought two. Might go back and get another. Have to wait for my bills to all go through first.

When I got home from the store I was pooped out. I’d not eaten before I left so I was quite literally hungry enough to have eaten the dog. LOL. I told Campbell while I was walking him he’d best be glad I had groceries else he might be in some danger. Of course he didn’t believe me.

When I got back in I put away all the groceries, put a bottle of wine in the frig to chill and popped a frozen pizza into the oven.

When the pizza was almost done I turned off the oven to let it finish by using the heat as it slowly cooled and finished up what little work I had to do on the computer. Then I poured myself a glass of wine and sat in the warmth of the sun shining in through my living room windows and ate pizza, sipped wine and read a book.

Afterward I leaned back in my recliner and snoozed until the handyman I hired got there to install my handheld showerhead and rehang my shower curtain rod from where it had fallen.

When he was gone I went out back to retrieve my shower curtain from where I’d hung it out to dry only to discover it had flown away in the wind. I’d weighed it down but obviously what I’d used wasn’t heavy enough. Ah well, I’ll just have to get a new one.

Well, it’s started out to be a good day here and I hope everyone has a super Saturday.

Thanks for reading all this if you did and blessed be.

Bubba Tails

In this magical and love filled tail, King Campbell AKA Bubba travels to the puppy nursery at The Seeing Eye to help ready a group of puppies who are just about to embark on the fabulous journey of learning to become Seeing Eye dogs. Just as he is about to finish his tail, a wee pup becomes very frightened of all that lies ahead, and one frightfully stormy night she runs away! Will King Campbell hear the urgent call from the puppy nursery in time? Will they find her and save her so she can fulfill her destiny?

The use of Tail instead of Tale for story and Magik instead of Magic is intended for these short stories. A great play on words from King Campbell.

Available in Paperback and for Kindle via Amazon

Share your story

If you have had a strange experience or encounter that you would like to share, please get in touch with me at findme@scvincent.com (or my usual email if you already have it) and we can discuss a guest post.

I am not looking for sensationalism or fictional tales… but in light of the response to earlier posts, it might be both useful and reassuring to others to realise that none of us is alone in these strange encounters and experiences and perhaps we can open discussion on what they may be or may mean. It is my hope that in telling our stories, we can open a subject too often weighed down by superstition and dismissal and create a space where such experiences may be shared and discussed without judgement or prejudice.

If you would like to share your story but prefer to remain anonymous, we can discuss that too. If you would like to share your beliefs and opinions on the nature of these experiences, I would be happy to talk about a guest post. Through sharing with respect we may learn to understand our world and each other a little better.

      Hello Adele.
Thanks for reading and for letting me know you enjoyed it.
That spell was such an impulse. But, I find that’s how most such things come to me.
I don’t have a lot of money for a bunch of fancy tools and I find they’re not really necessary anyhow. It’s what’s in your heart that’s important. It’s all about your focus.
I read once, “Any tool can be magik if it’s in the right hands.”
