“Quit pushing me, you brute,” Susan said, laughing as she said it.

John pushed her down in the sand and held her there laughing in her face.

“Now I’m covered in sand, you definitely are a brute.”

“Don’t worry, there is plenty of water out there to clean yourself off.” He picked her up and took her over to the water and walked in far enough she would go under when he dropped her.

She came up spluttering and cursing him out. “Now you messed up my hair and got my new suit wet. It wasn’t for swimming, you, idiot.”

“Then what is for then?”
