I’m glad to hear you were OK. I was thinking of you. But I’m so sorry to hear about the poor fish that didn’t make it. That’s terrible, and a worrying sign for climate change…

Yes… along with other odds and sods, the heat was the final straw, sadly. So I came down to this disaster… and it was followed by losing a last, beautiful creature later.

Oh my lord, I’ve read through your dreadful times now and I’m all teary-eyed now. What a mix of emotions, mainly heartbreak. Sorry I hadn’t got to these posts before – I haven’t been around a lot recently. But I’m glad to be up to date now, and I wish you and Nick all the love and healing you so badly need. ❤

Even in the midst of such a day, there was beauty and kindness… and I was so touched by the young man who wanted to bury Jay for us and did. With the garden work at the stage it is, there was nowhere I could have dug a hole that big. ❤

Yes, that simple act of kindness from the young gardener would have been such a comfort at a terrible time. It restores your faith in humanity. There are still some decent folk out there. You must truly feel as though you’ve been through an emotional mangle. ❤
