He stood there watching her. Would she come to him or should he go to her? After their spat last night, he wasn’t sure that she would be forthcoming. The mist seemed to be dissipating somewhat and he began his slow ascent up the hill. She didn’t move. What should he say? Should he apologize first or wait for her to do so?
It was a bit nippy so he drew the collar of his jacket closer around his neck. The cap kept his head warm. As soon as he got back to the cottage, he would fix himself a pot of tea. What had they fought about again?
