Had to take our nursery tadpoles and froglets back to the school pond yesterday.. your post reminded me of the treacherous trip, with a tank and one large pair of feet, and 5 small ones… the snails were out in full force, after a night of rain!
It was sad enough one of our mini frogs had, ahem, lost their fight with life, in the tank… I didn’t want to have any snail blood (if they have any!) on my hands (or feet!) too!

They were out in force after the bit of rain… and I always worry about what we might be squashing beneath unwary feet… both literally and metaphorically.
I loved tadpoles and froglets when I was little though. 🙂

It was the first year we were able to grow them beyond giant tadpoles to be honest! I was fascinated! And to have a frog the size of my little finger nail was amazing!

They are rather sweet at that size… we always had them in the classroom when I was small.
