Dear Santa Claus, I woke to snow!
The world’s all white for me!
The garden is a wonderland
With snow on every tree!
She let me out to play a bit
But had to go to work,
I think she’d rather stay at home
But said she couldn’t shirk.
She got the car out from the snow
And headed off quite early,
“I’ll try not to be long,” she said,
“And then we’ll play, my girlie.”
The Sunday morning roads were bad,
And cars were getting stuck,
I thought she’d never make it home
And I’d be out of luck.
I sighed and watched each snowflake fall
She seemed to take all day….
But make it home she did at last,
I couldn’t wait to play!
I rolled my ball and buried it,
And made her chase and throw…
And soon she’ll put her wellies on
To wander in the snow!
We seldom get good snow like this
And snow is never boring…
So soon as she has done some stuff
We’re going out exploring!
IT’S STICKING!!!!

Enjoy the snow Ani! Dot is a Spanish dog and doesn’t like snow at all. Doesn´t like getting cold either so she has a warm coat for chilly evenings.

Thank you! She took me for a two hour walk in the fields… I’m hoping she’ll do it again later, but she keeps groaning. No stamina these two-legses 😉 xx

Maggie’s thinking “Not likely’ as she’s giving it ZZzzs on her cushion in front of the radiator.

This looks like the first “serious” snow you’ve had in a while. We got ours, though by our standards it’s a very small one. But it’s just early December, so there are plenty of winter weeks to go. A lot of places that should be getting snow are dry and hot when they should be snowy and cold. The climate is changing and FAST. So many fires out west and in the tall mountains in Utah … not only no snow, but it’s HOT. It should be icy and snowy and winter should have come. It is worrisome, but I’m glad there is snow somewhere. Including my driveway.
The dogs are SO happy. They do love these early snows, before it gets deep.

We don’t often getsnow at all down here and December is very early for it too. There was a fair bit falling… there are snowmen sprouting everywhere…
Oddly though, it has been very mild here too, right up until the past few days, and apart from the odd frost. The climate seems to have shfted a lot in our lifetimes.
Bur yes…Ani is over the moon with it. Finally exhausted after being out either with me or in the garden…with the doors open…all day. She is asleep on the sofa, snoring, but her tail is still wagging hard 🙂

Our temperature is forecast to hit 36 C today so it’s hard to imagine how cold that crisp white snow must be!
LikeLike
I think I would rather have it cold than so hot!

lol – 36 is not so bad. We melt when it hits 40 and above.
I much prefer ‘cool’ as well. Not sure how I’d handle real cold with snow and ice.

You can always snuggle up in warm clothes… The only time I’ve lived with that heat ( and no air-con) was when we lived in central France. I did melt.
LikeLike
Totally agree. We do have aircon and I do use it, but I try to keep it to a minimum because it costs heaps to run. With the cold I just snuggle up with my feather doona and I’m fine. 🙂

My air-con is the dog. She likes the doors open winter and summer 😉
