A wonderful take on the words and a powerful haiku to move the emotions of any reader. And what a fascinating photo. The only ice we ever see is from the freezer in our fridge. off to get some now as the temp crawls to 41 o C today.

Thanks, Denis. This was taken beside a lake… the waves were casting up spray which was freezing almost instantly.

Beautiful, Sue and I’m glad it’s fresh water. We were watching the same phenomenon on the Maine coast a while back, and when it’s salt water, you can bet your bottom dollar it’s too cold to be outside!
