Dear Ani,
I thought you would like to see one of the pictures I took of you the other day. It really shows the colour of your eyes.
I’m sorry I couldn’t take you with me this time. The sheep are a pain, you would have to have been on the leash all the time and that is no fun. Work on your recall and stuff and we might be able to work something out here. But I promise I’ll bring you one day.
You would love it up here on the moors with the rocks and streams, though the grouse might not be so happy…. But not this time. We’ll be meeting at dawn for a long walk and working as we go. So you might as well stop trying to make me feel guilty… even if it is working. You couldn’t wait to get out of the door when I said we were going to see Gooch and Hardy and their family! And I saw that grin as I was leaving! You don’t fool me that easily, whirly girl!
The ball guys say hello and send their love.
Miss you,
Love,
‘Her’
P.S. Why was there a pig’s ear under my pillow???

I love this picture. But she looks sad with those eyes.
