Hmm… 41st post… XLI… doesn’t look as good as all the kiss-crosses in the XXX’s post… but it might stop certain people finding me instead of what they are really searching for… whatever that is.
She keeps shaking her head about that…
You’re an odd lot, you two-legs sometimes….
Take her, for instance. She’s decided I have to stop barking at birds and the cat next door. She’ll let me off with the warning bark for intruders… you know, like the postman… but she’s got this bee in her bonnet that I might be antisocial. Me? ?? You don’t get any more social than me! Unless you are a cat…
So, she did all the reading up and seems to think distraction might work. Heh… works beautifully… but not quite how she imagined. She reckoned without the Black Beast of Waddesdon (oh, yes, Ball-guy… I saw that… casting aspersions… What are ‘spersions anyway? And can we play fetch with ‘em?). It only took me a day to train her. Now every time I want to play ball, I nip outside and pretend to bark and she dives for the ball and starts throwing it for me. Stops me barking alright…
‘Course, I did mess up a bit… and she caught on… I can’t blame her really. I nip outside, have a quiet bark, and I hear, “Where’s the ball, Ani?” Got her. I run in, she throws ball. Simple. Well, that’s how it’s s’posed to work. Trouble is, I got a bit ahead of myself, nipped outside, barked, then brought her the ball before she could speak… She had words with me ‘bout that…
Not that it’s stopping her. Ah well, if she thinks she’s training me, it’ll keep her happy. And the exercise is good for her. You could say that “what is done out of Love is beyond Good and Evil,” but that would give the game away.
Oh yes, Ball-guy, I devoured the Nietzsche.
You didn’t want it back, did you?
And as for the latest literary suggestion, doesn’t The Sacred Executioner deal with human sacrifice? Hmm?
He gets some weird ideas… Nature of the beast, I suppose…
I mean, he wrote about me playing hide and seek with the ball in Giants Dance… now he’s complaining when I add a few refinements of my own? “It is the business of the very few to be independent”… sure I read that somewhere recently…
Much love,

Here Ani, here you go: I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.” ― Robert A. Heinlein
I hope this helps you out! And although SamCat is a cat, he says if he can hiss at the dog next door, you’re entitled to bark at the cat next door. Hugs!!!!

You sure SamCat is a cat? That sounds awful like common sense to me… Maybe I should add Heinlen to my reading list ( she’s bound to have a copy somewhere). …
Say thank you ( can’t believe I’m saying this…) to SamCat….
Much love,

SamCat says you are more than welcome. He lived in a shelter for most of his life so he learneda lot about give and take. I must confess at times he will remind me. Hugs to you. Have a barking good day. XXOOXXOO
