Let the Song of the Troubadour bring you delight
That a flame may be kindled to burn clear and white,
Let it tell of the road we have travelled so long
As we dance to the tune of the Troubadour’s song.
Friday afternoon saw the gathering of the Companions who would accompany us for the first weekend workshop and the official launch of the Silent Eye. We have a School.
I and my friend and guest Benjamin are not long home, very tired and still full of the emotion of the weekend.
For tonight I can write little except that the weekend was truly awesome. Not in the modern sense of the word, but full of its original meaning.
So much was packed into those few days it is hard to know where to begin. So much was wrought in beauty that touched the heart, soul and mind, so much laughter shared.. and a silence that was simply magical.
I will attempt to organise my thoughts when I have slept. But for tonight I would simply say that there is nowhere on this earth I would rather have stood than on that Derbyshire hillside this morning before dawn painted the sky and the School was born as a hawk flew overhead.

The weekend was incredible.. I will share what I can.. though so much of it was, by the nature of it, subjective that I am not sure how it will translate onto a screen.
