I really thought that he was a dinkum bloke but he turned out to be a complete fake.  So, this morning as soon as he drove off, I quickly shoved my things in a suitcase, left a note on the table beside the telephone and walked out of the little cottage we shared.  We had been together for two years during which he had made so many promises but they were all empty ones.  Whatever feelings I had for him, they’re completely gone now.  Bitter anger has taken their place.  I was furious because I wasted two years of my life with that fraud.
