This shoot is actually from the week before last – you remember when it was briefly summer? – but it’s taken me until now to get all of the images processed up!  I decided to use the sunny spring weather to freshen up my image collection of York…

From the station I had a wander round toward Micklegate first, intending to walk on the wall from Micklegate Bar – the daffodils still looked pretty good on the bank below the city wall on the way.

Sue lived in Buckinghamshire, having been stranded there due to an accident with a blindfold, a pin and a map. She had a lasting love-affair with the landscape of Albion, the hidden country of the heart. Sue  passed into spirit at the end of March 2021.

      It is a beautiful place. I loved being able to work there and always loved visiting. I need to go back…after all, it is the capital of my home county 🙂
