‘They said at the pet shop he’d talk’.
”Yeah right. Well he isn’t now is he?’
‘They also said that this particular breed didn’t mind being on their own’.
‘Sure. But what about the cage?’

Her husband had told her he had a special surprise for her.
Full of excitement, the cheating wife thought of furs and jewels, or a new car to show off to her latest lover.
‘Close your eyes and take my hand,’ he said. ‘Be careful and mind the step’….
