Lighten up…

Weymouth pig

For the lady in the white coat and anyone who is, like me,  facing the rigours of a New Year’s diet…

Laughter increases the heart rate and burns calories at a rate of up to 180 calories per hour, if you laugh long and loud. Research suggests it improves performance in general, helps the immune system and pain tolerance too.

*In the UK a spare tyre is a common way of referring to belly fat.  🙂

Laughing might be good for you but so far it hasn’t shifted the set of four spare tyres from my midsection.

I love this far better than counting calories, let the laughter in people. or should that be out.

We use the term “spare tire” here in Canada as well… So I need to belly laugh continuously for one month, while jogging and maybe it would be easier if my mouth were just sewn shut!

We may spell it differently, however a spare tire is a valuable thing in a vehicle, not so much on my body (so says the health care professional) ❤
