For the lady in the white coat and anyone who is, like me, facing the rigours of a New Year’s diet…
Laughter increases the heart rate and burns calories at a rate of up to 180 calories per hour, if you laugh long and loud. Research suggests it improves performance in general, helps the immune system and pain tolerance too.
*In the UK a spare tyre is a common way of referring to belly fat. 🙂

We use the term “spare tire” here in Canada as well… So I need to belly laugh continuously for one month, while jogging and maybe it would be easier if my mouth were just sewn shut!

That made me chuckle, Dale. I’ve no doubt my sons would endorse that last step for me… though not with regard to my waistline 😉

We may spell it differently, however a spare tire is a valuable thing in a vehicle, not so much on my body (so says the health care professional) ❤
