About Sue Vincent
Sue Vincent was a Yorkshire born writer, esoteric teacher and a Director of The Silent Eye. She was immersed in the Mysteries all her life. Sue maintained a popular blog and is co-author of The Mystical Hexagram with Dr G.M.Vasey. Sue lived in Buckinghamshire, having been stranded there due to an accident with a blindfold, a pin and a map. She had a lasting love-affair with the landscape of Albion, the hidden country of the heart. Sue passed into spirit at the end of March 2021.

I love this Sue. Did you notice what the red object in the mouth was?
I think foxes are beautiful animals and such survivors. Here in Australia they were introduced not far from Melbourne by English colonialists in the C19th for a bit of hunting sport. Subsequently they became feral, bred like rabbits and spread across most of the country except for Tasmania the island state and are a major predatory threat to native mammals and birds. Bounties are paid for dead foxes in many parts of Australia. Over the years I have seen many foxes wandering the footpaths, sitting on fences or running across roads when I am out walking a dog at night. Some are very brazen and almost throw out a challenge to chase. One morning last year I found a large fox scat on our garden table, still don’t know what the message was! Foxes live and breed throughout metropolitan Melbourne but they are very high in numbers along the vegetated coastline where we live. Following local authority guidelines we bring in the dog water bowl at night as a safety measure and have to be sure to collect up bones etc at dusk to minimise encouragement of foxes. Luckily for Australians there is no Rabies here.

They are beautiful animals and have adapted so well to urban living that they are seen as a problem by some. For myself, I just love seeing them. This gentleman had either an egg or an orange… he was too quick to be able to tell, just sauntering across a busy road with utter confidence at dusk.

Would be a rare photo for here. What a beautiful animal! I used to see them in the fields of California years ago, but with all the housing out there now, I suspect they’ve moved on – there’s not one square inch of land on which they could live.

This was right in the middle of Sheffield… an old industrial city. The foxes have adapted well to our trash 🙂
