  2. Yes sadly, all too often, that is the case.

    Ideas and individual agency (actions, feelings, values) are possibly the one intersected area of personal and social life where such a contrast can be overcome, in either direction–ancient to modern, or the other way. That makes me hopeful. đŸ™‚
