Unusual choice for a post, Sue, but it does make a change from the proverbial cats. We had chickens when I was a child, and I loved to watch them every day, always so busy. Fascinating creatures, so self contained.

A chicken? With FUR??? Well I’m no townie, but in this rural area all the chickens have feathers… at least they did last time I looked! 😀

  8. That’s one very handsome chicken! He looks, except for not being yellow, like Big Bird from Sesame Street!

  10. I find it hard to agree with most of the comments. To me, those are some ugly fowl. Just because they are animals doesn’t make them cute.

I’m not sure I would call them cute either… beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But I did find them amusing to watch and developed quite a fondness for them. I like silkies.

Ha, just yesterday farmer built the little house for our impending 3 chickens I need in order to eat eggs, something I WANT desperately. BUT my chicken will be a wee bit more practical. 🙂

I’ve seen these chickens in the local fair and I love them. So fluffy! That and Highland cattle are among my favourites ever…
