Where do they come from?
They come out of the night…
Where do they go to?
Back to the night they return…
They dance in the dark to pipe and drum and fiddle
They dance in the dark with fire and brandished flame…
No-one knows who they are…
But why do they dance?
What is the story behind this magical spectacle…
There are rumours, legends…
Don and Wen set out to investigate.
In a darkened corner of the Waggon and Horses, Langsett, a hooded and enigmatic figure whispers secrets…

Oh wow!!! This looks and sounds mysterious and compelling Sue!

It was made in support of Mr Fox, the fire dancers I’ve written about before… so we hope it does well for them.

That would be something to do! Fox dance with fire… and they are incredible. There is something primal in their dance and drums.

We have a pumpkin festival here every halloween. The parade has similar dancers fire eaters and drummers. All the lights in the town are switched off for it. You can feel and hear the drummers, see the leaping flames and smoke long before they arrive. It is very atmospheric and primal, very exciting. I’ll have to check out your dancers. Sounds a very similar thing.

I believe Fox are something quite unique in that they literally do come out of the night, put on a whole show and disappear… and nobody outside of Fox knows who they are 🙂 The first time I saw them beneath the Hunter’s moon was simply spectacular.

Fantastic cover, Sue. Should be able to perform miracles and magic all by itself!
Funnnily enough, I was considering the merit of having ‘message’ covers, only this morning…
