The Sue Vincent Rodeo Classic at the Carrot Ranch…

I need to write about this.

About what it meant to get that first email telling me what they had planned. About how it feels to be placed at the centre of something so unexpected and wrapped in words that mean so much…

And I will. I am just struggling at the moment to find the right words…

But if you head over to the Carrot Ranch, you will understand why…

Sue Vincent

Reblogged from H. R. R. Gorman at the Carrot Ranch:

Here at the Carrot Ranch, we take the business of 99-word literary art seriously. Those who participate in the Ranch prompts or yearly Rodeo saddle up to TUFF (The Ultimate Flash Fiction) it out and train new Rough Riders as we go. Now, the Ranch is hosting a new event to sharpen minds, welcome new hands, and celebrate one of our own the best way we know how: our first ever Rodeo Classic.

About Sue Vincent

Sue Vincent was a Yorkshire born writer, esoteric teacher and a Director of The Silent Eye. She was immersed in the Mysteries all her life. Sue maintained a popular blog and is co-author of The Mystical Hexagram with Dr G.M.Vasey. Sue lived in Buckinghamshire, having been stranded there due to an accident with a blindfold, a pin and a map. She had a lasting love-affair with the landscape of Albion, the hidden country of the heart. Sue  passed into spirit at the end of March 2021.

  2. I’ve got my thinking block on, and my creative cogs are oiled and whirling around for that prompt, Sue. It’s going to be great fun giving the competition a go, but most of all it’s the person behind this challenge who we all love that is the most important reason why I’m entering and promoting it. I’m sure everyone who plays a part will be doing so for the same reasons.
    Hugs to you.

  4. You deserve it. That’s why, when I was contacted about it around a week ago, I didn’t hesitate to agree to help with spreading the word by putting a post up on my blog. You’re a wonderful person who’s done so much for others. Now it’s time for people to do something for you. 🙂

It is quite a reflection on you by this show of support I see wherever I go, Sue. You have touched a lot of people with your words. I think that’s the ultimate compliment for any writer.

Prompts are what keeps my mind active. I could write on my own with just making daily observances. However being part of a community is being involved in that community. While most of us have had to rearrange our lives by choice. Some of us have had some decisions made for us.

I hope to provide the maximum two pieces to ‘The Sue Vincent Rodeo Classic. Just to participate –
Similar to those who are volunteers for fire Service (in the USA more than half of the firefighters are volunteer) – those who train for the blazes or those who help in the background.

As a community of creatives – we can only hope that our positive vibes reach you and your family.
Best to you and yours and all who participate in anyway they can. (((Hugs))) ~Jules
