Lovely, Sue. Comes at a time when we had to cut down a 100 year old oak tree – it started leaning a few years ago and although it was held up by two nearby pine trees, the roots were pulling out and finally the pine trees broke. It hung on but we were afraid it would fall on someone (and our driveway) so it was time to take it down. I am so sad…

That’s awful, Noelle. The ancient chestnut behind my house rotted and started losing branches a few years ago… it had to go, but it left a hole in the skyline…an in my heart… for a very long time.
