Elements of Earth Conjuring essential Air Alchemical art

Starchild in Glastonbury is one of the few shops where I can spent unlimited time and wish for an unlimited budget. You walk through the door … a work of art in itself…into a low-ceilinged space lined with polished wood and the mingled scents of flowers and rare essences. On the counter there is always a piece of seasonal art… beautiful and ephemeral, created with salt and herbs. Jars line the walls, interspersed with candles, books and handcrafted art, but it is the incense and oils that capture the mind and lift the spirit. The fragrance of incense envelops you as you walk in. The tiny jars to which I try and treat myself bring a fragment of the mystery of Avalon home with me;exotic spices, rare gums and dried herbs combine to create the most wonderful perfume as they are alchemically transformed by fire and fill the air with curling tendrils of smoke.

Sue lived in Buckinghamshire, having been stranded there due to an accident with a blindfold, a pin and a map.     I love having this wonderful shop so nearby, and I spend time there selecting various essential oils that I use in my Colour Matrix Essences.
