Sally is running a Women’s Health week and her first guest is Judith Barrow, a wonderful writer, supportive blogger and lovely lady. She is also a breast cancer survivor. Judith was my guest here yesterday and if you have read her post, you will now that she does not let surviving cancer define who she is… she only allows it to make her be more of herself.
Sally point s out that Women’s Health affects men too. Although around 50,000 cases of breast cancer in women are diagnosed every year in the UK, it should be remembered that breast cancer can affect men too, both when it touches the women in their lives, and directly. It is much more rare in men, but still around 350 men every year are diagnosed with breast cancer.

It is, I agree.
I can understand your concern over that, Judith… I have a post going out with Sally later this week too, and one I try very much to keep in the past too. But for those whose lives are being touched by such things now, knowing you can get through and come out the other end can make all the difference.
It also puts those lousy mammograms into perspective… which is just as well as I have the appointment letter on my desk 🙂
