I would like to say thank you to Chris White of The 1951 Club, who has nominated me for this award. Chris writes about his blog: “Someone asked me why I did a blog about the year of my birth. Simple. It’s easier than doing one about the year of my death.”
The guidelines are also simple:
1. Thank the person who nominated you for the award.
2. Add the “One Lovely Blog” logo to your post.
3. Share Seven (7) facts about yourself.
4. Nominate up to 15 bloggers you admire, and then inform the nominees by commenting on their blog.
So… seven facts…
1. I hate wearing shoes… sensible ones most of all.
2. I once swam with wild sharks… entirely by accident…
3. Snooker and highdiving are the only two sports I ever really enjoyed.
4. No-one will play Scrabble with me. I still maintain bilingual isn’t cheating…
5. I know that cats do not go through mangles….
6. My handbag and pockets are always full of feathers…
7. I like painting murals.

And seven nominees to even things up… with no obligation to participate, just to say thank you 🙂

Sue, thank you so much for nominating me! Honoured indeed! I have to decline … major dental surgery underway inter alia and I’m about to finish the 5 day 5 photo challenge tomorrow which has totally taken up so much time – and the one before that even though it was a mere 3 day quote challenge. I’m 110% blogged out. I don’t even know how to put up the OLBA logo – which is why I decided a while back not to accept ‘awards’ – truly I am a Luddite. We have ongoing blackouts here in South Africa when the electricity grid is shut down in various parts of where I live which puts a huge stumbling block in my way.
So all that to say thank you again! I so appreciate this, and you deserve the award a 100 times over. I don’t know how you do it! 🙂

Then simply take it as a thank you, Susan, for being around, writing and sharing 🙂 That is what matters, after all. 🙂
Hope the dental surgery goes okay!
