The Living Enneagram –

Pathways of the Soul

A brother and sister, straying far from the Royal Gardens of their childhood, find themselves in a new land, where they stumble upon the folded form of a strange book, whose pages are wrapped and locked, but, whose key is present and in plain sight.

The sister is cautious; the brother less so. He unlocks the book and listens, as the key instructs him in how to enter the circular pages of the living volume. Drawn in by its promise of endless diversity, he dares to go inside the circle of many dimensions, marvelling at the mystery and beauty within; but he does not see the danger as his royal form starts to fade and he begins to take on the darker shape and shimmer of the waters below.

His sister calls to him as his image fades, and he throws off his outer royal garments to leave a trail. As her brother disappears into the Waters of Becoming, she calls out to their father for help. He is nowhere to be seen, but his voice fills the air around her, instructing her that to reach her lost sibling, she must assume an invisible presence, becoming the very words of the book that her brother must now read to survive his Quest. She resolves to bring to life a counter-flow in his experiences, one that will leave him fundamentally unsatisfied until he turns, once again, for home.

Thus begins “The Living Enneagram – pathways of the soul” in which a brother becomes an incarnated Soul-Child, and his sister becomes the Mistress of Magic in order to enter the world of Becoming and find him. A unique approach to presenting the mysteries of the Above and the Below, and one that stays true to the original ethos of the enneagram, while adding back the rich layers of knowledge that esoteric psychology has discovered over the past fifty years.

We will follow the same interactive formula as the August talk, with the journey being shared by all, in a small and intimate space. Come and be part of the incarnation of the royal twins. Add your key experiences to theirs so that they may acquire ‘substance’ in the hazardous world of their quest. Help us use the profound forces of Glastonbury to discover spiritual romance, love and danger, shared by all, in a spirit of trust and openness.

Welcome to the Magical Enneagram, from the Silent Eye School of Consciousness.

Once again, the talk will be hosted by the Glastonbury Reception Centre

Dear Sue, Thank you for pointing me to a hint of understanding of the significance of the brother/sister twins. I met them in a dream and could not begin to understand the meaning beyond some perfunctory Jungian archetypes, which often feel surface deep for me. Wish I could learn more about it at your workshop. 🙂 But I already have much food for thought.

Becoming is dangerous? Or is it just becoming in that way, without knowledge of what you are becoming, and a quest for what? The unity of male/female at the center? The duality of two?

I am mesmerized by the circular turning page book imagery. Haunting and beautiful concept.

This is the way that we teach in the School, Eilis, through these images and guided journeys that use the power of stories and imagination to bring abstract concepts into everyday life and understanding.

The ‘danger’ here lies in the fact that by losing sight of our origins in the divine we become too wrapped up in the ego to find our way home. While spiritual evolution is happening whether we know it or not, the eal progress comes when we *choose* to take that path and to do so we must be able to see a way through the cluttered accretion of the personality to the clear light within.
