Notes from a small dog XXXIV

003There are days you just can’t seem to get stuff right, you know. I was only trying to help! She’s been going on and on about getting the garden dug… just thought I could do my bit, you know.

‘Parrently she didn’t mean the planters.

I was going to blame next door’s cat when she got all uppity about it… but she has this psychic power.. she knows when I’ve done stuff I shouldn’t.

Says I look guilty….

… and that the muddy pawprints all over the cream sofa are a bit of a giveaway….

Guess that means she won’t be sharing her dinner tonight then…

I suppose it makes it worse that she has her babies in the planters. Baby trees. She says they won’t like their roots freezing. She has a thing about keeping stuff warm.

Me, I don’t mind the cold… quite happy to sit in the doorway all year round. Well, no point in getting my belly cold with no reason, is there? The carpet is comfier than the deck.

2 month 034But she’s shut the door now. Says she needs to get warm… I’d have thought she’d be warm enough after clearing the …erm… gardening up. She’s a weird creature, you know. No pleasing some folk…

She says she has to dry the sofa… I have a nasty feeling she may mean business with the hoover-monster… and I’m thinking I might just have to give my paws a wash… I’d hate for her to put me in the machine thing… the bath is bad enough!

Still, I really was only trying to help, and we can only ever just do our best… even if we get it a bit wrong sometimes. Well, a lot of times, maybe….She’ll be okay in a bit… she’s already forgotten to be cross and scratched my ears a couple of times.

Might just go and try my luck for a cuddle, stuff 001

Catch you later,

Much love,

Ani xxx
