‘Where are we Arthur?’
‘No idea Ford. Looks like a tunnel. Sort of curved and hairy. And… Yuk!’
‘What is it?’
‘The walls are sticky.’
‘Toffee?’
‘Smells bloody odd. I’ll taste it…’
‘Wait! It might be poisonous. Where are we?’
‘What did you say, just before you sat on the Infinite Improbability Drive?’
‘I’ll give Zaphod an earful alright.’
‘And he’d said…’
‘Come, plebs lend me your ears, or some such.’
‘You don’t think?’
‘Yuk. It tastes of wax.’
‘Look down there. The guy with the toga and knife. He’s going to stab someone.’
‘Watch out. Finger incoming…’

  1. You know, it was Douglas Adams’ birthday yesterday (mine too). So This is a lovely little tribute. I still miss Douglas, all these years later.
