Reblogged from Dalo Collis at China Sojourns Photography
She sits there quietly with the glow of the morning sun reflecting everything a beautiful day should contain. I pace around in search for the perfect angle to enjoy her, and as I look on with eyes filled with desire I set my camera and capture my first sunrise at Arches.
A thought enters my mind…have I just fallen in love?

Sorry Sue. But your photo was taken in Canyonlands National Park, which is close to Arches. It’s the Mesa Arch, and I have taken many pictures of it. But your words on right on target. Yes, I’ve fallen in love, too, with this magnificent Southern Utah scenery, which even makes Texas’ magnificent Big Bend seem faded in comparison.

It isn’t my picture, Pat… this post is a reblog. I was struck by the beauty of the place and the photographs.

Wonderful for this reblog Sue ~ made my day and weekend (back in HK and to the WP universe again!). A couple photos from parks adjacent to Arches, but the majority of the photos in the blog were from Arches. Yes, Pat, I too dream of seeing Southern Utah again and again, I could not believe such a world existed. Cheers to a great weekend to you both!
