Notes from a small dog – Friends

ani 005

Well, I’m back… finally. I thought she was never coming home! I mean, I enjoy staying with Gooch and Co… that goes without saying… but you can’t beat being where you belong. And I belong where I can keep an eye on what she’s up to…

…especially when my boy came straight round and brought her chocolates…

‘Pparently, it was her birthday while she was away, but she promises I didn’t miss any cake. She says she’s about eight and a half in dog years… we don’t really worry about stuff like that. As long as we can still chase stuff and our back ends haven’t gone, we’re okay.

I’m saying nothing about her back end while there are chocolates to be snaffled though…

I know I’m not supposed to have ’em, she says they are not good for me and that she is only trying to look after me because she loves me. She can always trade me for cheese or chicken if she’s going to be stingy with ’em.

Anyway, she’s been gallivanting with her friends again, while I stayed with some of mine, but she came back poorly, so I’m going to be on cuddle-duty for a while.ย  You have to look after them when they’re not well, you know. One of my friends isn’t well either. His name is Fionn and he owns one of her friends.

Fionn is a gorgeous, smiley Labradoodle. Everybody in Glastonbury knows Fionn! But he isn’t well. He was really poorly last year and they found out he has something nasty called Addisons’s. The vets have their uses…even if I don’t like ’em… and lots of people rallied round to help them save his life. Fionn’s, not the vets (though the next time they want to use me as a pincushion…. ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

Fionn’s Mum is a special lady and has spent many years working to promote peace and unity both within Glastonbury and across the wider world. She asked if we could help spread the word a bit, ’cause she’s trying to raise a bit of money to look after Fionn by selling her own stuff… and when we looked, we saw that she’s selling things that we know she loves too… but she loves Fionn more.

Please visit her auction page and see if there is anything you would like to bid on to help Fionn or you can donate or simply help spread the word at their gofundme campaign page.

    Dear Ani,

Fionn asked me to type you a message as he has had a busy day being very stressed. Apparently he doesn’t like all this moving around of the house that I am doing at the moment and he feels a little tipped-up.

Thank you very much for sharing our auction. Chicken is also a part of his needs as his tummy digests it better. We have the rice and Fionn gets the chicken so he shall look forward to sharing some chicken, and a ball game, with you soon!

Much love from me and a huge WOOF and waggy tail from Fionn xx

      Hiya Fionn’s Mum!

Tell Fionn, anything for a friend.

I can sympathise with him… she’s been diving around all day with buckets and fish. Me, I prefer it when she chills… which she says she is going to with all the doors open ๐Ÿ˜‰ But hey… I have cows in the back field again, so what does she expect? You have to keep an eye on them, you know.

Tell Fionn I have plenty of balls to share… but I know chicken is sacrosanct.

      Much love, Ani xxx

( Oh…and from her too. xxx)

Ani is back from her break and she has a very important message about one of her special friends. Fionn is a dog with Addisons and his owner is holding an auction of items to raise money for his treatment.. If you can help the link is in Sue Vincen’ts post.. We cannot cure or help the world’s lost and vulnerable but we can make a difference one being at a time.

  8. Please wish your mum a belated Happy Birthday from me and my boys, Ani. I’m so sorry to hear about your friend, Fionn. I’d certainly not mind sharing my chicken, cheese, custard, or any of my toys with you and Fionn.
Lots of barks and waggly tails,
    Toby

I hope your two-legs and Fionn are both feeling better. You are a good, caring dog. If she doesn’t need your cuddles anymore, you can come on over, I have cuddles to spare – and treats! I will hope over to Fionn’s page and see what I can do. Hugs and Kisses.

Hi Dante, thank you ever so much… you’d like Fionn, everyone does. Hope you can get your two-legs well again soon… mine is still wandering round groaning at silly hours. They should just sleep it off somewhere…but they never do. Much love, Ani xxx
