Back to Bedlam

river of the sun SE15 002So… I’m back… temporarily, as I have another long drive tomorrow. The weekend workshop was wonderful… I have so many stories to share… the Beast and I are reunited and she is sleeping peacefully at my feet…

But I was dreading the inboxes….

Except… they were pretty much empty. At least, compared to usual. Normally a weekend away nets me a four figure batch to go through when I get home. This time there were no more than 400… which is awfully quiet.

And it appears that everyone had very kindly stopped blogging while I was away too… according to my inbox anyway… I wasn’t inclined to believe that somehow…

A quick glance at the blog’s admin pages soon put me right on that one though… all the settings for notifications for all my favourite blogs have, somehow, been turned off. And not by me.

I just spent the past hour reinstating them one by one. I hope.

So my apologies if I have dropped off the radar over the weekend…  and I sincerely hope I have rectified the glitch!

  4. WordPress does that to me periodically too. First, I’m grateful for the day off. Then I get suspicious and go check … and everything is set to “no mail” … and half my “follows” are entirely missing. I think it happens when THEY do some kind of software reset.

I’m so glad the workshop went well! You didn’t miss anything from me. I have a week and a half to go to get all my dissertation chapters revised and in the hands of my committee for review so have been barely keeping up! It’s been much easier to comment on others’ posts than post something myself.

WP is so glitchy… A few times some of my favorite blogs were dropped, and not be me.

  11. I have to check my subscriptions to blogs as I suspect the same thing has happened to some of mine. Strange.
