Sue Vincent was a Yorkshire born writer, esoteric teacher and a Director of The Silent Eye. She was immersed in the Mysteries all her life. Sue maintained a popular blog and is co-author of The Mystical Hexagram with Dr G.M.Vasey. Sue lived in Buckinghamshire, having been stranded there due to an accident with a blindfold, a pin and a map. She had a lasting love-affair with the landscape of Albion, the hidden country of the heart. Sue passed into spirit at the end of March 2021.

The stone is one of the many at the ancient circle of Avebury.

The standing stone looks like it was once a statue, wrapped in a cloak, waiting for the moon to rise. Beautiful photo and haiku.

It does, doesn’t it? And the one that stands close beside it holds a giant’s face… many of the stones at Avebury seem to have stories at their heart.

The contrast of the stone and the tree are fantastic. The stone is so closed and uninviting, the tree with it’s open arms screaming ‘climb me, please!’ And the sun peaking through the tree draws me to it more, where the stone would shield it from the viewer. I suppose it won’t be long that the tree will also shield, full of leaves, making it no less inviting though.They would both be welcome in my garden. Xx

The stone is part of the Avebury circle… stone and wood seem to walk hand in hand there… and the full moon in a blue sky was just a gift 🙂 x
