Synchronous art

On a visit to Waddesdon Manor yesterday there was an art installation in the aviary by Julius Popp. An overhead gantry releases precisely programmed droplets of water, forming a single word culled from the internet. The words, lit brightly from above, hang in the air for a single second before gravity erases them from existence. Camera in hand I felt obliged to make the attempt to capture one of these ephemeral words… unpredictable, completely random… in neither order nor sequence.

So, given the School’s current bi-monthly programme of talks with the GRC, the word I did manage to capture after umpteen failed attempts seemed rather too appropriate…. Sometimes it seems the gods like to laugh too… Perhaps you would care to join us for the evening? If this is anything to go by, it could be interesting….
