Well! About time she unglued herself from my seat and let me at the ‘puter thingy. Anyone would think she’d taken root there… and in that case she needs to be awfully glad I’m a girl dog… the boys would know what to do about that… 😉

Still, I suppose she’s not going to want to walk in the rain for too long… she has this thing about mud on the carpet, you know…don’t mind it myself… and the sofa is really good for drying myself on when it’s raining.. just the right height those overhanging cushions for rubbing your back on. I mean, if she’s daft enough to have a black dog and a light sofa….not my fault.

Speaking of black dogs, I had a bit of an eye opener today. I put the ball on the table for her… sort of helpfully… so she wouldn’t have to bend down when she was busy… She can’t have noticed though, ’cause she didn’t throw it. Just carried on tappety-tapping. So I stuck it on the sideboard next to her. Still nothing… had to stand up and get it myself.

That’s when I noticed.

She’s got all these statues of black dogs….

Ok some of ’em are a bit weird.. sort of half man with a dog’s head… and one with a hawk’s head… I had to think about that for a bit. Then I look up and notice the things on the wall.. you know, the pictures. I suppose they’ve always been there, but I hadn’t really looked before. It’s surprising what is all around and you just get so used to it being there you don’t even look any more, so it might as well be invisible.  But it was another black dog. Hmmm…

She’s got a thing about them, you know. One of my predecessors was black…. she says she looked like me too and just as daft.. which I’m not so sure about really, you know….

Anyway, I asked her about all these dog things… she said it was a old god… ! Now, I don’t know what a ‘nancientegypt’ is, so I’m not sure what it’s a god of.. but am I complaining?

Heh… there’s a striking similarity don’t you think? Nice shiny coat there.. black… She called him Anubis too… similar there… Ani -Anubis… he’s got better collar than me though….

Course, it goes further than that… dog…god… same word, just the other way round.  Which must make me a goddess tail first 🙂

Even us divinities have to sleep though…
