Quiet heralds

The garden still looks bare to the casual glance. Yet look closer as it dances in the breeze, waking gently to a softer season. Last year’s leaves, faded stems and branches shelter new life in fragile fingers.

Look closer and the heralds of spring are here. Some a little battered by their journey, some still half asleep. Yet all exuding the vernal vibrancy that tells of days to come.

  1. Such beauty surrounds you, dear Sue. I wish I could be just a little robin in your garden, a little bird that lives there in peace. 🙂
