
Bones of the Earth
These broken bones the Earth reclaims,
The age old stones have lost their fame.
Forgotten now, atop the hill,
The window frames are empty still.
Vines reach up to with claws of green,
To eat the mortar, sight unseen.
The ancient manse or castle stood,
For centuries now in hidden wood.
But soon the Earth would bring it down,
The bones reclaimed in to the ground.
