I was a river – once flowing freely,
Was a part of the nature lovely…
Through the mountains n plains…
But, I have now become waters still…

From hills to plains I tread paths,
Paths for lives of people
Taking in all their prayers n pains…
But, I have now become waters still…

I have blessing the plains with silt,
Making them fertile, n set for cities built…
Absorbed all the dumps n drains…
But, I have now become waters still…
