Lance Greenfield’s dog, Ronan, suggested she might like to reblog this review of some canine tales… I’m taking the decision out of her hands… power to canines! She says her blog is going to the dogs…
She thinks that’s funny?
You might like to know that Mr Greenfield wrote a great novel about a young African girl named Boi who had to walk Eleven Miles to her school every day…which is what he called the book. Boi doesn’t have to walk any more as the money from the book helped buy a school bus.
Me, I’d quite like to walk miles every day, but she says eleven is too many for her little legs… well, she only has two…
Short ones at that…
I’d better shut up in case she reads this…

Dog Tails: Three Humorous Short Stories for Dog Lovers by Tara Chevrestt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I’d like to make two things very clear before I start my review of this excellent book.
Firstly, I am NOT thick! Just because I am Irish and mixed breed, there is no requirement to stereotype me. You humans are just too quick to do that. In fact, I am a very clever border collie, springer, and various other superior breeds, cross. You can tell that I am clever, because here I am, at nine years old, writing my first ever book review.
Secondly, I have a vested interest to declare. My Dad was sent an early copy of Dog Tails to review by his friend in Utah, who is the author, and the Mom of my three cousins, Lola, Pudgy and Jazzy. He left it lying around after he read it…

Yes indeed! Power to the canines. As much as I love the felines, I think I love the canines more. Lovely post, Sue. Thanks!

My canine is insistently reminding me that I haven’t eaten yet. She has, but apparently that doesn’t count if I’m having something shareable…

Mine used to wait at the place where the kitchen edges the dinning room. He’d watch me cooking and wait until I dropped something and then charge in and grab whatever before I could pick it up and then he’d swallow quickly – not time to chew – so it was down before I could react. How I miss my pups, my little fur-beast friends.
