I want to thank Alienora Taylor for the Imagine Award…. she is probably the only person to describe me as marmalade-haired (amongst other things!) and do so from a position at least as colourful as my own… more so if you read some of her work!

I count Alienora as a dear friend, and have done since a certain evening that involved a fair amount of wine and a spiritual retreat centre many moons ago….It was probably the guffaw and the Doc Martens that did it…

She writes prolifically, with an unusually eclectic command of language that delights my wordy little soul, encompassing within her work the deepest and most poignant explorations of her own innermost being, reflecting the oft-hidden sides of the human condition that many of us pretend to ignore…and yet the very next post may be one of hilariously lunatic proportions or about as bawdy as they come…

… all of which she managed to include in her first novel, Long Leggety Beasties.

We have shared the odd crusade, share many odd quirks including being owned by blogging dogs. If you haven’t come across her site, take a look…

My own nominees are:

Morgan from booknvolume where you can find beautiful images coupled with verse that add an extra dimension to the words.

A View from the Wheelhouse… the articles are always interesting.. but the art is superb!

Ed Mooney Photography stunning images, history and landscapes..

Dragonshades something rather different.. one could call it the art of perception

The D/A Dialogues… a brilliant concept!

Extremely honoured to be on your list and I really love your comment and respond with this quote:
Because our entire universe is made up of consciousness, we never really experience the universe directly we just experience our consciousness of the universe, our perception of it, so right, our only universe is perception.

Congratulations on your much deserved award and please keep on doing what you do.

  6. You certainly deserve it. As I may have said, as the first follower of my blog, you have a special place in my heart. It is due to my own cluelessness that it took a while to fully appreciate the power of your writing. I am humbled by your nomination. Thanks. -Craig
