… I will be somewhere far north of here again. I am, you might say, on holiday. And it will be taking me, the camera and the car all over the country, spending time with dear friends along the way.
It started on Friday after work and will add up to some fifteen hundred miles driving all told… and I’m going to love it! First stop Cheshire, then flitting between Yorkshire and Derbyshire for a few days. Just being there is enough without the added joy of seeing people I love and see far too seldom. But this time I have a weekend with them, before heading further north on Tuesday to Scotland and two more… sisters of the heart, and, as one of them so succinctly put it, with the three of us together, God help Fife!
A few, all too short days there and I bring one of them south with me, back to play in the Derbyshire dales, via Yorkshire and Stuart and with a brief spiritual foray into Lancashire. Then home… but not alone, as I get to keep my friend with me for a few more precious days.
And they are precious. Friendship cannot be treasured enough, and any time spent with them is a gift. You never know how life will turn out, when you will see them again, how long before you get to share a smile eye to eye, or a wicked laugh heart to heart.
I will be passing through some utterly glorious countryside. I will see hills and valleys, even the sea, possibly mountains… I will try, and probably fail, to get from A to B without getting sidetracked (“Aye, right,” said my Scottish friend) and I will count myself the luckiest woman alive to be able to see the people I love in a land I love as spring turns towards summer. What more can anyone ask for? Except, possibly, decent weather….
I might even send you a postcard 🙂

That will be great dear Sue and am all anticipation to see what the post card turns out to be.But I know, coming from the you I know my friend, it will be another chart buster.Ich bin gespannt.Have a nice day and nice trip and week too.

You get around a lot 🙂 Must be nice to be able to just go and see and feel what’s going on around you. I am sort of stuck in my own little world. A Florida city home with an oasis in the back yard. I need to get out to the beaches and start roaming around again.
