A good day

It has been an unexpectedly and delightfully busy week. One of those weeks when things seem to have gone right for no other reason than simple joy. Even the weather has behaved.

Getting ready this morning to go to Nick’s home, I got a phone call to let me know he is out.. you who have followed his story so far will know how much of a joy that is to me. It is something that would not, could not have happened until recently.

And yesterday, he gave me cake that he and Faith had made together. Good it was too!

These little things may not seem much if you don’t know his story, but they add to the joy I am feeling today.
In a few days Nick is due to have further surgery to help rebuild some of the muscle wastage. We hope this will go a long way to helping restore his self image.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to all the wonderful people who have contributed, shared, commented, tweeted.. you truly are wonderful people.

From your care my son has begun to regain his life, and I can sit here and write, quite simply.. today, I am HAPPY.
