This kind of orchid is called Phalaenopsis. For those of you who are interested in mastering the cultivation of Phalaenopsis, you are very welcome to read my very detailed post entitled “Phalaenopsis: Novice’s Orchid, Mother’s Day Gift and woodlandgnome’s House Plant”, which is published in my other blog at https://queenslandorchid.wordpress.com/2017/06/20/phalaenopsis-novices-orchid-mothers-day-gift-and-woodlandgnomes-house-plant/
Please enjoy! Happy New Year to you!

I have four on the windowsill, all gifts over the years, and they bloom and they bloom. a feel of the tropics during the cold of winter. Happy Orchid Day.
