We got so close one day Sue, he was almost within touching distance. Beautiful markings. I remember how he flew over our roof and stood on the wall in front of the kitchen as if demanding to know where his breakfast was!

There is a house close by that puts out food for the birds… which the red kites seem to think is theirs some days. To see these huge birds of prey up so close…you really get both a sense of their size and a feeling of privilege at being allowed ‘in’.
