I seem to have been fighting a constant battle with slugs since I read about the slug trails on the suit, you know… In fact, it seems as if there is a lot of tampering with realities going on at present…

…otherworldly ice-cream vans, wandering stones and disappearing deer… and you ask me if I’ve been interfering with reality again…! Considering your efforts over the past few days chapter-wise, it seems to me that, apart from the whole slug-fest thing, it more likely a meddling with time…

Which should seem like lunacy…

…except for the Incident near the Crone Stone…

Speaking of stones, Stanton Moor has kept cropping up today… another place we said we would have to explore a little better. Apparently there is a hermit’s cave close by with 14thC crucifix still carved into the wall, as well as some rather odd caves, a couple of other stone circles and a very nice set of geometries as petroglyphs…

Nine Stones Close looks a good one, even if only four of nine still stand. Legend says that the stones dance at midday, or another version says midnight. And then there was the labourer who was amongst the stones and found a clay pipe; when he smoked it, he could apparently see through the earth’s surface to a land of the Fae…
