She came upon the waterfall completely by chance.
They’d argued and needing to be alone, she walked out saying she would be back, but not sure when.
Walking had always been good for her nerves and getting her thoughts together. She’d walked this particular path several times, but always turned back at the pub. This time she carried on totally lost in thought.
The sound of water alerted her, though there was no visible source. As she turned a corner, everything seemed to slip away to reveal the beauty of a waterfall and a pool below. Being so totally unexpected made it all the more precious and special.
