Here’s my offering for Sue’s Thursday Photo Prompt, one involving a return to the Great Forest of the Green Man, a knight, the Grail and a being known as the Lightbringer.
A sea of green stretches beyond the horizon and into unknown territory. I hesitate, not out of fear but out of nervousness, one borne out of anticipation. The journey to this place has been long, too long my impatient human nature may say. As for the part that is divine, it stays silent, knowing well the joy of illumination. The land is poised between a place that is and is not, between wakefulness and disappearing slumber. It urges restraint and caution, to listen carefully and not deviate from the path, for dangers lie on either side of a road much travelled.
