Goodness, Sue, this made my skin tingle. I often feel when I’m walking around a castle ruin that I’m wandering amid the hopes and dreams of it’s past – and quite probably present – residents. I’m sure walls absorb the events that happen within them. Can I ask where this castle is? It looks very haunting, probably more so because of your haiku. 🙂

There is a certain deepness with this haiku, I’m attracted to it as shadows and darkness I view more as exciting mysteries than fear of the unknown 🙂 “Darkness filled with hopes and dreams. Shadows know their name”

  6. The rhythm of this is so fantastic. Each line starts with a similar cadence, and it’s beautiful.
