About Sue Vincent
Sue Vincent was a Yorkshire born writer, esoteric teacher and a Director of The Silent Eye. She was immersed in the Mysteries all her life. Sue maintained a popular blog and is co-author of The Mystical Hexagram with Dr G.M.Vasey. Sue lived in Buckinghamshire, having been stranded there due to an accident with a blindfold, a pin and a map. She had a lasting love-affair with the landscape of Albion, the hidden country of the heart. Sue passed into spirit at the end of March 2021.
Fascinating.

Goodness, Sue, this made my skin tingle. I often feel when I’m walking around a castle ruin that I’m wandering amid the hopes and dreams of it’s past – and quite probably present – residents. I’m sure walls absorb the events that happen within them. Can I ask where this castle is? It looks very haunting, probably more so because of your haiku. 🙂

I know just what you mean, Alli. But this one, in Derbyshire, is not exactly a castle…though it has a similar feel 😉 https://scvincent.com/2014/10/21/the-faery-castle/

There is a certain deepness with this haiku, I’m attracted to it as shadows and darkness I view more as exciting mysteries than fear of the unknown 🙂 “Darkness filled with hopes and dreams. Shadows know their name”

We have a tendency to fear the shadows, yet it is from the darkness of winter that spring is born 😉

An amazing haiku Sue with an image that creates a sense of natural spirit to the poetry.

The rhythm of this is so fantastic. Each line starts with a similar cadence, and it’s beautiful.
