
Jack wondered how much of this story he should tell the boys and even Joanne. Although he came over here searching for her, she wasn’t easy to find although she did keep his last name. He was concerned with how everyone would take this.
He thought about whether he should continue with the boys in the room. His gaze wandered out the window, and he saw an odd and ancient-looking magpie with milky eyes, a harbinger of things to come.
