Flaming leaves cascading
Futile endeavour frost-defied

I guess you are having Autumn. So far, we are having a lot of rain. And no colors in the leaves. How dreary!

We are still maily green, here, though the leaves are falling. But we have had a little sun this week… as well as the first frost.

I love your photo and your lovely Cinquain, Sue. Autumn is my favorite time of year. “Fragmented gold…” we get a lot of that here in Colorado. Splendid! โค

We are still fairly green here, Colleen… but the colours are starting…and so is the frost:)

Oh, yikes. It was 34 degrees F. for two mornings in a row last week. No frost yet. The colors are vibrant up in the mountains. It hasn’t reached us yet. I’m looking forward to it. The ancestors are calling… โค

Our autumn tends to be gold, misty and mellow…we seldom get the vibrancy of your fall. x

Your picture and beautiful poem have put me in the autumn spirit. Here in S. Florida we don’t get the changing of the leaves but we do have colorful Bougainvillea all year round. ๐ xx

I love Bougainvillea , but it doesn’t do well here except under glass ๐ฆ
