Photo prompt round-up: Turrets #writephoto

Half veiled by nature
Keeping treasures safe within
Safe from prying eyes
The castle walls enclosing
What the ego seeks to hide

The photo for this week’s prompt was taken during a snowy walk with Ani, looking  towards the rooftops of Waddesdon Manor, the magnificent chateau that houses so many fabulous works of art.

Thank you so much to everyone who took part this week. All the posts are listed below, so please click on the links below to read them and leave a comment for the author! Thank you too, to everyone who reblogged the prompt, round up and the individual resposes!

A new prompt will be published later today. I will reblog as many contributions as space and time allows, as they come in… and all of them will be featured in the round-up on Thursday.

Pingbacks do not always come through… if you have written a post for this challenge and it does not appear in the round-up, please leave a link to your post in the comments and I will add it to the list. Especially as WordPress has been behaving rather strangely this week. Again.

Come and join in!

Many thanks to this weeks contributors:

About Sue Vincent

Sue Vincent was a Yorkshire born writer, esoteric teacher and a Director of The Silent Eye. She was immersed in the Mysteries all her life. Sue maintained a popular blog and is co-author of The Mystical Hexagram with Dr G.M.Vasey. Sue lived in Buckinghamshire, having been stranded there due to an accident with a blindfold, a pin and a map. She had a lasting love-affair with the landscape of Albion, the hidden country of the heart. Sue  passed into spirit at the end of March 2021.

  3. I did have a go this week so have not forgotten you but still couldn’t get the pingback sorted. I agree Waddesdon manor is superb but as the home of a Rothschild only to be exected I suppose. Anyway here it was https://wordpress.com/post/bobfairfield.org/3944, Great selection this week.

Sorry I missed this one – it would have fit in right were my story left off… I did get a chance to read a few stories – nice as usual.

  10. Wonderful poem for a beautiful photo! I can’t imagine seeing that place on a morning walk. I can imagine the goblin king living within. 🙂
