Is that a cherry tree? (I failed any efforts to teach me tree names by recognizing bark—besides a white birch—or leaf shape. At first, I thought those were beech leaves, but I don’t think the edges are crinkly enough or with sharp enough veins slicing them like diagonal feather hash marks.) I think that description makes my point better than anything else would!

It is, though it has a long way to go yet. I was lucky, my granddad taught me about trees early on… and I don’t do too badly at remembering 🙂
